Life, the universe, and everything.

Is that the answer as to why things always seem to happen at the same time. Things are allowed to be so slow and boring for a while, and then *bam* someday (today obviously) hits and there are tons of things that need to be done that just don't get done.
The dorm got cleaned today, and something odd seems to be missing. My checkbook. I never use that thing except for Gaia donations, but still.... I wonder where it went. This doesn't really seem good. And yeah, someone came in to clean our room and I usually keep the book udner my desk.... ph34r my sloppiness. But I'm going to finish donating to Gaia and get everything done, when I realize that it's not there. It's nowhere near my little desk area. And I asked Sochira-san, and the people at the desk if they've seen it and neither of them has. Achira-san is gone for the weekend, so I can't ask her until Monday if shes seen it, and the maids have all gone home for the weekend. *sighs* No donation item for me. And yes, I know that there's more important things to be worried about, but personally I don't care.
And this happens the day that my parents come into town. *shakes head* Of course it does. Because it waiting for some other day would just be impossible. *sigh*
Anyway, the afternoon was pretty much spent with Me-chan. Again much apologies for dragging you to that thing. I mean, yes, you were pretty *ahem* adamant about actually calling and setting things up, but you shouldn't have had to take the time out of your day to come with me. ^_^ As for that whole deal, I will say this: The next person to even hint that I have an 'inner strength' or that I'm 'determined' is going to get their head caved in with a bowling ball. Meek little Me-chan is a heck of a lot more tenacious than I am. Admit it, you know it's true. And yeah, there was actually a part of my life before I met you. It surprises me as much as it surprises you. ^_^
I managed to get a decent grade on my Japantest today, and the Anthromidterm came back relatively intact. 24/25 I think. So that Linguistics one was the only one that I really failed at, and supposedly Bokamba is willing to transfer some of the midterm weight to the other aspects of the course: i.e. papers. Speaking of papers... yeah, there are at least two coming up.
Sochira-san and I watched the homecoming parade, watched all the pyros and the 'whack a Gopher' references, watched all the kids in the street running for candy and T-shirts and some such. And for the first time in a while, I actually felt like something near an adult. *cough*19thbirthdayTuesdayafternext*cough* Yeah, I'm actually the youngest one in my room, although Sochira-san is only three days older than me. But as anyone who's ever seen me will proclaim, I look really young, and act pretty young as well. Did that last part have a point? No. Well, it's homecoming, hence a big game, hence my parents are taking me there. And Anime Club is put on hold.
As stated above, my parents are in town right now, staying at the *whispers* Super 8 *end whisper* So we went out for a 10:00 dinner at a Mexican joint and actually started talking for once. Just the normal conversation. "How's everything going?" "Do you do _____" Let's make this simple for everyone: Fine and No. Actually, it was kind of fun to see my parents again, and watch them both set each other off. And of course hear those stories of being a three-year-old and naming my stuffed rabbit Sitaboo because I didn't know it was really "Sit Ubu Sit" and etc. It was nice to be with them again, honestly. And not just because I actually have a winter coat now. *sighs* I wish Maggie could have gone down. But no. No dogs allowed. *whimpers*
Also as a side note: Griff does have the Aussie accent even though he's lived in America for most of his life. Freak of nature, ne? But hey, it's hot! ^_^ This chick digs accents.
Anyway, there's probably something more productive I can be doing, so I'll say 'bai' for now.
Over and out.
