Comment with the word "ICONS" and I'll select six of yours for you to talk about in your journal.

I don't use this one a lot, and probably with good reason. This is sort of my, 'I really can't express in words what's going through my head, but there's something there.' Icon. Seeing as this is a blogging site and very word centric
Oh...and the Japanese girl is Kuraki Mai for those curious.
AB! Cooking geekery, science geekery, and general food geekery. Alton Brown is awesome. Good food is "Nom." Actually, good food and Alton Brown are both awesome and "nom." >.> lol...(sorry, a bit loopy)
I think most people will recognize this as Fran from FFXII. I'm not going to call this one of the most beautiful icons I've ever made, but with the bright colors, and the sparkly lights, I really do think it's pretty and happy.
The text itself says, "One shot at happiness blowing in in the wind." So it's kind of a contemplatve but optimistic icon.
Love this icon! Don't remember the original source, but something about the dinosaur statue screaming "Oh the humanity" serves as the, "Yeah you're angsty, but try to have a bit of humor about your situation." Because who takes the personal problems of extinct reptile/bird precursors seriously? Maybe we should. (See? Loopy.)

Obligatory Liar Game/Akiyama icon. For collecting thoughts and fangirling Liar Game. This panel in particular is Akiyama preparing to stage a grand comeback. It's also more 'cute and adorable' Akiyama and less, 'scary eye-bag Akiyama.' I need an icon of Nao and her fox-eye smile. *grins*

Like the other dinosaur icon don't remember the source >.< but nothing really conjures up the images of memories of childhood like seeing a person get chased by a huge dinosaur skeleton. Yeah, great childhood memory icon, and pretty accurate. Looks like more fun from a distance.

My vision is wonky (uncorrectable, because it varies +/- about 20 day to day), and I never noticed the head, so I always thought it was some sort of weird Daliesque 3-fingered hand!

Date: 2009-09-28 02:57 pm (UTC)The Liar Game is a basically a tournament of mind-games/game-theory games where the winners can win large sums of money, but the losers are forced into huge debts.
The main character, Kanzaki Nao, is a "foolishly honest" college student who gets trapped in the game and finds herself in over her head. She winds up enlisting the help of the other main character, Akiyama Shinichi, who is a "genius swindler" who just got out of prison.
Basically, it's these two characters going through these games, and figuring out how to "win" them.
The art's kind of weird, but it's really interesting to see the games played, especially if you like psychology. Plus both Akiyama and Nao are adorable and awesome in their own ways. Plus, their dynamic is absolutely beautiful. Oh, and character development.
