Question:
This might just be my isolated experience, but why do we, on our Patriotic holidays seem to celebrate the Military exclusively in connection with our freedom as a nation? I see signs on the road that salute the soldiers who die protecting our freedom, but I've yet to see one that salutes the U.S. Constitution, or the Declaration of Independence.
So, in the true spirit of the day, Muusu and I pursued our happiness and exercised our rights to life and liberty. And it was damn fun.
And since I've started playing FFX-2 again, particularly while LFG on ranger...

In answer to your rhetorical question,
Date: 2007-07-06 02:30 pm (UTC)Also, I do think the documents are on view or promoted in Washington, D.C. along with all the other patriotic paraphanalia. I'm trying to remember why we have fireworks on Independence Day, but I'm drawing a blank.
