Things I have "learned" this week

1. Entering your poorly-planned fandom-related grant in a contest geared towards community benefit isn't the best idea.
2. HOWEVER, claiming everything on the internet is public domain? Oh shit, you just pissed off the internet. It's like your own private apocalypse.
3. Prime-time just isn't ready for happily married super-spy couples.
4. Yes, you (specific person, who probably isn't YOU) do need canon to acknowledge the awesomeness of one character. You spent a wall and a quarter of text telling us so.
5. I suck at editing. *gapes at 28,000 word story*
6. I have both a cannibalism squick, and a giant spider squick, but I'll gladly suffer both for Lost Girl.
7. I still take my humor/satire too seriously.
8. Those spidery head massage things feel really good.
9. Roses press better than Gerber daisies and kale flowers.
10. If I ever have a podling, I support them being (almost) anything they want. (If they start doing "sexy" halloween costumes for kids, I reserve the right to veto that)
11. When people are angry about say, a member of their community getting shot by a cop, purposefully giving that cop the lightest possible sentence, is to say the least, a dick move.

Date: 2010-11-06 03:57 pm (UTC)#3 makes me so sad :( I will miss that show.
#11: My jaw dropped. Literally dropped. I sat there at my computer staring at that headline going "that's gotta be wrong, they meant 22, right? at least?" I. So much RAGE.

Oh, I believed it. I'm just kind of...ugh, to put it mildly.

I believe it too, I'm just furious that we live in a society where I can believe it.
