dagas_isa: Kanzaki Nao from Liar Game (Default)

First of all, I am not neglecting my schoolwork seriously. >.> Short of doing readings for the coming week, I've already done/turned in most of the assignments due.

So now I'm entertaining [livejournal.com profile] muusu by playing Kingdom Hearts II, and I will attempt to entertain myself by listing the various observations I have.

  1. I like the game. All the following snark aside, I like it. Got that, good.
  2. Sora is always a dork, as usual. Doesn't stop me from liking him, but he's a dork. When Santa looked at his good list, and he wasn't on it, the look reminded me of a kicked puppy. Or a cat who's been without food for six hours, whichever.
  3. Donald was on the good list, which surprises me, considering that his genetic link with Scrooge McDuck is showing in this game much more than it did in KH1. He also has the squinty eyes when he gets mad, which cracks me up.
  4. To round out the great Trinity, Goofy is officially a genius, or at least leaps and bounds more intelligent than Sora or Donald. The paladin has higher INT that you black mage and ninja, TAKE THAT! /ffxidork Also, since the turtle seems to be a recurring theme with Goofy, I'd be tempted to rename him Kamekichi or Motoki if Goofy wasn't already the perfect name for him..
  5. Is it just me, or do a lot of the females in the game sound much more bimbo-like than they did in the first one? Aerith does, Yuffie kind of but not as bad, Jasmine, and Ariel just want me to bury my head in my desk. Kairi's VA doesn't seem to do a bad job, what little we've heard from here.
  6. Ice cream is an important theme in the game. World shaking. If there is not a great finale battle that revolves around ice cream somehow, I will be well and truly shocked.
  7. Skateboarding is also a major theme. If this is not part of a major battle, may I fall on the blade of my own sarcasm.
  8. Jiminy is a sadistic son of a cricket, and if he wants to complete his journal entries he can do it by his own damn self. Oh, who am I kidding, I'm too much of a completionist to let it drop.
  9. Sora so has a crush on Cap'n Jack Sparrow. But then again, it's the videogame version of Johnny Depp, so I guess I'll let that one slide.
  10. Each world/character seems to be annoyingly similar to each other. The results are nice (Auron rocks my socks, as does Jack Sparrow among others, but it's just grating because I can see the game designers cramming a full length movie/video game into a short segment in KHII and it really distracts from the all out coolness.
  11. All you Heartless with multi-hit attacks. Hate you. So much.
  12. Atlantica sucks. If that's what music sounds like underwater, I understand why drowning was invented.
  13. The Cornerstone in Light in Disney Castle is now the Orb of Shiny. Deal.
  14. Speaking of Disney: Yen Sid. Ha. Ha. -.- Although the reference to Mickey as his troublesome students did get some laughts.
  15. Someone should have hugged Maleficent as a child. Or she got onto Santa's naughty list one year and never got over it. Or perhaps all she wanted for Christmas was a puppy and all she got was another lousy pair of socks. Whatever it is, she has a beef with Sandy Claws.
  16. Also, give Pete a few head scratches, or a steamboat. Poor guy can't help himself.
  17. Kitty Sora? Can I ask you one thing: How the heck do you swing a Keyblade in your mouth without breaking your neck?

Was that what you meant by impressions Gumi-gumi?

Also a quick meme, since it fit so well:
