Paraphrased from Archeolecture:

"Now if you're eating mice and rats, you're not going to be carefully skinning and gutting them and carefully placing them on the barbecue. You're probably just going to be putting the whole thing onto a stick and shoving them into a fire until the fur's been singed off and then you grind it up into all something the consistency of crunchy peanut butter and spread it on a cracker. There's going to be hard stuff in there."

Let us not get into the actual context, as that will probably make lunch seem a little less attractive. Remember: if I have to be traumatized, so do you. Deal.

Over and out.

I had peanut butter toast for breakfast... thankfully, it wasn't the crunchy, chunky kind.

And I'm vaguely reminded of that one movie about a guy living in Alaska to study wolves... who ends up eating the little brown mice in his wooden shack. o.O I wonder what they taste like... Chicken or peanut butter.

What's traumatizing about that? The more time you dwell on the fact that what you're eating is a rat, the less you'll want to eat it.

I guess it's not the eating the rat that was so traumatizing, it was the context within which it was placed. I.E. explaining why bones are found in coprolites a.k.a. preserved feces.
