Away from politics...

Usually the world screws me over the day before my birthday. This year it's left me alone for the first part deciding instead to screw over the United States and the rest of the world. But that's soooo last entry.
One of Dagas's plans for her birthday before it kind of got scrapped was to go over to Japan House and attend a Tea Ceremony. After all her birthday falls on a day when the house is normally open, so why not? She kind of gave it up, partly because there'd probably be some expense involved, and because if she were paying, she'd want to get friends to go along. Oh... but see I just checked my E-mail today and the James Scholar program that I usually ignore is planning an outing to Japan House tomorrow, they have tickets open, and I'm gonna see if I can get in. So woot! Another thing to do tomorrow!
Also, I'm in a registration quandry. Right now, I'm at 14 hours, all of them at 12:00 or later. Which means that I can possibly get a job somewhere, next semester. However, it's under the rate of graduation and might put me behind. Any extra hours would put me at 17 + lab or 18. Which kind of sucks. At this point, I think I'm gonna stick with the 14 and find a way to get a job. But I'll have to talk about that with people.
What else... ooh ooh oh yeah! Dagas's pic is in the Daily Illini. So yeah, I went out and fetched a lot of copies. One's going to me, three are going to the people who sent me cards so far and then I have two more in case people out in the great wide word want a picture of me looking like a stoner college kid (it's the tie-dye T-shirt, the closed eyes, etc...) I was listening to music and stuff. Deal.
As for get togethers:
Tomorrow, I'm hoping to get the chat together around 6:30 CST, although people can sign on, leave, ask for invitations whenever. But I'm actually making the chat at 6:30
Friday: Let's see if we can meet before 7:00. Turns out that last night's eppie of QE is rerunning at 7 and therefore we can actually expose Megumi to the horror that is our obsession. And then Mulan, because we don't have to rent it. And either Pizza or Sushi, I haven't decided yet.
And that's life.
Over and out.
