Point one: According to the ultimate source regarding pain and videogames game designers are sadists. The majority of game designers are Japanese.
Point two: How the fegging feg does someone expect that we know Kanji that hasn't been gone over in class so that we have a quiz today. No one point out that we were expected to go over them at home. I did. I just think that we deserve to have time to go over them in class. Hate. That class. So much.
In other news, an FFXI link that even the non FFXIer's might appreciate: advice from a successful camper.
Hmm.... let's see...
NM stands for Notorious Monster.
HNM stand for either High Notorious Monster, Hyper Notorious Monster, or Hard Notorious Monster (much rarer and more difficult than plan ol' NMs).
'camping' and HNM is the action of waiting for one of these HNM or NMs to pop. Thus, a camper is someone who camps an HNM.
Most of the job abililties, spells, and weapons skills do exist, and the way they're typed out is how you would enter them in a command line or a macro. so /ws "Double Thrust" is how you would make a macro that would let your character to double thrust. If say, your character was a Dragoon or other polearm wielding job class.
Some of them don't exist in the game. These will be obvious.
It really is worth reading.
Over and out.
