Look, A.M. I understand your need to have a social life. Yes, I'm reclusive, lonely, etc. I understand that you're different though. I don't mind the majority of your friends the majority of the time. And I don't mind that you keep the door opened, even if I prefer to have it closed, etc. You've been very considerate. Most of the time, when it counts.

However.

However, I think there's a big difference between you having friends over, watching a movie, and discussing it afterwards, and you having friends over, watching a movie, and then getting into shouting match afterwards.

I don't like yelling/overly loud voices, etc. And yes, if I ask if you and your friends can keep your voices at a normal level, I don't think that's an unreasonable request. Why? Because I think that's part of being a roommate: allowing someone else to have their life, while you have yours. Yeah, maybe I was just messing around with IMs and surfing the net, but that could have been because I thought that it would be worthless to start a paper while I couldn't concentrate (true) or I might have had a headache coming on (false, but at the same time, if it were true it'd be a legitimate reason for me to not want shouting). Also, I tend to dislike shouting in general. I'm strange that way.

And no, I don't find the excuse "Because I hardly have friends over" to be that legitimate for shouting loud enough that you can be heard from the hall. By that thinking, whenever I have Megumi or Sabi over, I can pretty tear down the room and shriek constantly because I almost never have friends over. It's one of those things that applies only to an extent.

So I take a shower. Might as well get something productive done.

Just a gripe.

Over and out.
