dagas_isa: Kanzaki Nao from Liar Game (Default)
Since it's been going around my friends list, and I can't resist an opportunity to self-promote be smart and meta about my fic, here we go.

1. Which is your favorite fic? What Is and What Should Never Be (warning for suicide), is probably approximate of what I can do with the help of a beta, so I think it's the best fic quality-wise, but it's Five Trival Side Effects of the Liar Game that my heart has a soft-spot for.

2. Which is your best-received fic?

I've seen Those Who Come Closest get recced in several places.

In Liar Game fandom, A Small Favor seems to be the most popular.

From the Desk of Bubbles: Things I Will Keep Doing as a Boy is probably my most popular fic on Ao3 (or getting there anyway).

3. Which is your worst-received fic? I couldn't tell you. I don't really get bad responses, and I consider "little to no response" to be neutral. There are some fics I keep deliberately obscure though because I'd anticipate backlash if I didn't.

4. Which is your angstiest fic? Well, the first question took care of one of those. I've been told that Hopeless Moves (note, title) is pretty sad and angsty too.

BTW, I really suck at keeping stories to one genre, or at least figuring out the genre. I should keep a little elf on my shoulder who will tell me these things.

5. Which is your funniest fic? This is where I basically admit that my sense of humor hasn't matured much past adolescence and mention that I spent the entire time writing The Corruption of Kanzaki Nao giggling. It's the closest to a straight-up humor fic I've written in years. Mostly I like mixing jokes in with other genres because humor fics are the hardest to write properly, if the number of poorly done ones is any indication.

6. Smuttiest? When the Masks Come Off takes place at an orgy. Sure, it could have been filthier, but surprisingly I'm fine with its current rating on the Gutter Scale.

7. Fluffiest? I was going to say Wishes on Bamboo and then I came across Madain Maiden, and that's basically spun sugar and moogles wrapped up in a fluffy blanket.

8. Have you ever made someone cry with a fic? Actually, yes.

9. Which fic frustrates you the most? Execution-wise: Rite of Spring. There was no way I could have done what I did satisfactorily. Subject-wise, Revelation meant dealing with an almost-squick of mine, and that was awkward.

10. Which fic was the most fun to write? So I mentioned Five Trivial Side Effects of the Liar Game, and The Corruption of Kanzaki Nao already. Mostly anything with the Fukunaga and Nao dynamic has probably made me grin at least once. Outside of Liar Game fic, I really enjoyed writing Kasutera and Five Ways to Win a Warrior.

11. Who is your favorite OC you've ever created? I have a special spot for Svava in Grandmother's Stories.

12. Are you better at oneshot or multipart? I at least finish one shots.

13. What character do you think you're the best at portraying? Am I still the Kimahri guru? Honestly, I'm not sure what the correct answer to this question is.

14. What character is the most difficult to portray? I have a hard time with the Dead Like Me crew in general. It's a narrow balance between keeping their voice and referring to their previous lines.

15. Tag five other authors! NO! You tag five other authors!
