Long update. Really long update.

I know, I know, I've been meaning to gloat in this journal since yesterday afternoon, but I was enjoying the sweet taste of freedom too much to actually go out and write this big huge journal entry that I've been meaning to write since ... well whenever. And now that I've said it was big, it's not going to really be that long. *shrugs*
I made at least one major mistake on every exam I took. For the Japanese one, I think I only missed about two questions, and I was doing well enough in the class since the last time I got my grade sheet, that I don't think my grade can be much lower and than an A, even if I do end up getting a B on the final. I hope not anyway. Actually, I'm hoping that I can pass off getting an A on that final.
Anthro exam was a matter of mixing up where certain words were borrowed into English came from. Apparently Maize is Spanish and Chocolate is Mayan. Cocoa is the Spanish word. Which doesn't make much sense because of the 'El Chocolate' that's part of my second year Spanish vocabulary. But I think I managed to answer the rest of the questions well, and I used a lot more loan words in the essay, most of them correctly, so chances are I'm not that bad for Anthro. Hopefully an A on the final, and an A for the class overall.
Linguistics... I didn't even bother. I could have, you know. Taken that final, just to see if I could get my mental butt kicked any more than it did on the midterm. But considering that I probably spent half that class drawing, and the other half trying to sleep, it probably would have been worse than the midterm. Also at the point where I had to commit, I still thought I would be working on the essay that morning. And I was too busy to actually pull off studying for another exam. So yes, I probably did poorly in that class, an estimated 'B' or 'C' unless I do really really well on the paper. And finishing the paper, I realized how much of the presentation I bombed. Oh well, that's what I get for trying to do it the night before.
Astronomy. Here's the borderline class. Supposedly, I'm at an A- before the final. Yes, there were some questions that were "Huh? I have no clue what you're talking about", and there were others that I had to fake that I knew. But I think I did pretty well overall. I managed to finish the thing in a little over an hour, and honestly, I don't think I would have done better if I took up more time. If I were going to remember anything new, I wouldn't be in merely an hour. Of course, instead of turning in my exam and heading back to the dorm early, I decide to waste another 45 minutes doodling all over the test and writing little cartoons everywhere. Hey, it's not like I'm ever going to see the professor ever again, or the TA's for that matter. And remember, this is the class where they showed a picture of a rotating potato on one of the lecture slides and types of Martians on the Mars lecture. I think I'm safe here. So, I can get anywhere from an A to a C in this class, depending on how much I blew this final, and how much the people around me blew it as well. I know that he curves the average at a B-B+ range. So if I can get above the average, I'm safe.
Today is sort of the wrap up day. A little bit of packing, book returning, and all the other necessary stuff that needs to happen before I can go home worry free. I have an appointment at 10:00, so sleeping in is just something that will have to wait for tomorrow. *glares at Me-chan* I really, really hope you're happy.
My area... needs serious cleaning. I'm starting with just getting things off the floor and the papers into a garbage can. Also, I"m seeing if I can get the stuff that I want my dad to take back into some semblance of order before I go, because I'm sure that he doesn't want to wait while I pack everything.
Me-chan and I are leaving for the hometown Friday at 4-5 CST. And we actually managed to get everything worked out into some semblance of order within a couple of e-mails/IMs on our parts. I'm going to miss AIM seriously, especially the late night chats. ^_^ I wish this week hadn't been so hectic, especially because I won't get to RP for over a month. As much as I would hate feeling left out, the usual group is free to continue the RP, as long as I get all the logs from them. I want the logs, darn it.
I should be getting on at the library occasionally, especially because I have to post at least one chapter of Starless during the break, but only for an hour or two, which yes, is a short time for me. And most of that's going to be in the afternoon. Just in case someone is actually seeking to talk to me.
That's the vital stuff. I'll be doing more journal entries later.
Over and out.
