Liar Game Mass Update

Chapters 113 to 128 just got released in one fell swoop.
Generally, the musical chair game induces the hugest grin in me. Harimoto and Yokoya in this sort of tentative multiple-backstabbing alliance and Akiyama's hanging out in the background pulling the strings.
"Forelock...You're really good at drawing." This game would end if the players didn't have a ready supply of paper and writing instruments handy. Or if any of the factions didn't have a handy diagram artist ready.
Oh, and speaking of random devices needed to make the story function. Poor Forli can't get any respect from the other dealers, and needs Kurifuji to explain things to him.
Harimoto's cult. I *facepalm* at the whole "human blood" "demon blood" thing, especially as explained in 125, yet I can think of so many id-hitting fic possibilities for it. Also, lol at the indifference/apathy thing coming up again. I think Akiyama said it so much better way back in Chapter 29, but then he didn't drag demons into it. Plus he put it in terms that Nao basically adapted for her own use.
124... Reaction 1: Akiyama/Fukunaga/Nao OT3. Reaction 2: There so needs to be Nao/Yokoya complete with skeezy power dynamics (there would be no Yokoya ship-fic without skeezy power dynamics). Reaction 3: There so needs to be Nao/Abe crushfic -.- This chapter mysteriously hits shipping buttons.
Nao's contact with Abe is going to be crucial going into the late stages. Because that's what she does. Also if that's not how the game ends with Team Akiyama and Team Harimoto beating Yokoya then . . . I shall be put off. (And yes it's Yokoya, because he's totally planning on screwing over Ikezawa and Ootsuka)
Conspiracy Theory: Kimura Kei is Nao and Yokoya's child from the future, who time traveled to the past to get revenge on her parents (both of them) but ended in Harimoto's cult instead.

Date: 2010-05-19 09:06 am (UTC)Abe is for sure going to to be a defining turnabout point because converting others to her viewpoint is what Nao Kanzaki does. Nao gets under everyone's skin: that's why she's so shippy with everyone.
