(b) Two reasons she's amazing:

1. Rikku basically risked censure from her family/tribe in order to protect her cousin and keep her from dying even though the Yevon temples weren't exactly welcoming of an Al Bhed guardian.

2. Girl is handy. Somehow she managed to be both a top notch mechanic and a superb alchemist. If I needed a team of super mechanics, she'd definitely be co-captain at least.

(c) Five things that I'd like to see happen to her.

1. I want her and Paine to go on more awesome adventures together, whether as BFFs or lovers, I don't care. I think they make a pretty awesome team.

2. In FFX, one of her optional dialogue options mentions her wanting to have a large family, so it'd be nice if she became a mom.

3. Rikku becomes star player of the Al Bhed Psyches.

4. Rikku gets her own airship.

5. Umm... Rikku + Puppy = Awesome.

(d) Three Five people that I might ship that character with and why.

1. Paine -- It both neatly explains her derailment in FFX-2 (she's got a crush), and it lets her not have to choose between romance and adventure, whereas with the rest of the ships, she'd have to settle down.
2. Gippal -- It's implied they were involved, but they'd make a good Al Bhed power couple.
3. Wakka -- I think they definitely began to bond in FFX, so if FFX-2 had never happened, I could see them getting together.
4. Yuna -- Mostly as an unrequited crush on Rikku's end, but I find it sweet.
5. Lulu -- Also not a permanent ship, but I think they could have fun together.

(b) Two reasons she's amazing.

1. She's the practical one.

2. By the end of the first game, she is the most well connected shopgirl in Ivalice.

(c) Five things that I'd like to see happen to her.

1. She takes over Migelo's shop.

2. She becomes a diplomat and helps negotiate treaties between Dalmasca and Archades.

3. She uses her connections to take over Rabanastre's criminal underworld.

4. She becomes a bodyguard to Ashe.

5. She travels across Ivalice as a world-renowned dancer.

6. And combination of two or more of the above.

(d) Three people that I might ship that character with and why.

1. Balthier -- It has the elements of a fun roleplaying ship, where they both aware they're playing the parts of the dashing hero and the charming ingénue, but they genuinely enjoy the performance. Plus it could totally become poly if you add in...

2. Fran -- They both seem to come from a similar outlook, and I really like the idea of Penelo having a crush on the more mature lady.

3. Ashe -- I don't know, I could see Penelo working in the palace with Ashe, and something coming from that.
