Just a random gripe about FFXI parties.
Dude, I'm a thief. Need a puller, great! I've got arrows, I've got a bow. I can yanky the monsters from all over, just tell me what strength you want them at. I am not a fegging tank by nature, even if you and the WHM have less HP than I do. I can't do the big damage, and I can't provoke. Which means that you have to moderate your damage or at least wait until after I've done some damage before you unleash the hot and heavy stuff. Or else I can't take blows.
Oh, and Mr. White Mage? Don't run from the battle. Please. It hurts my little mithra ass. It hurts it a lot.
Yeah, got killed in the party. Spend the rest of the night soloing in Sarutabaruta.
But now, the real life part.
Wait I don't have one...
Classes were the usual, Japanclass was entirely too demanding, but at least I don't feel like such a moron for not understanding the homework last night. Tempura is not simple to make when following instructions in a foreign language. Deal. *kills the person responsible for writing that line in the jouzu na kikikata section* Sadistic textbook authors. *shrugs* Tell me something new. I did get to loan out a hypothetical car and refuse to teach a CS major how to send e-mail. Yeah. I rock. Go me.
Litclass: Holy mother of a cow, can that professor please learn out to prounounce my name! Jaisa. It's like Jason, but with an 'a' at the end instead of an 'n'. Well, at least he tries hard to be creative with his stuff and pass things around, which is more than what I can say for the vast majority of the classes I've taken so far. But yes, name pronunciation. Work on it. Please.
Monkeyclass: You're never going to guess what we played around with today. Really! Unless somehow fate has been foreshadowing this in all my posts about this class and the nickname for said class is perchance a tad subtle. Yes, we got to play around with primate skulls. We've got ourselves some flat faces, let me tell you! Wooowee! Yep. Monkeyskulls!! *squees*
Omigosh a priest talked to me at dinner. Okay, so Dagas eats alone most of the time. And by most, I mean all. Look, I spend as little time at the caf as possible. I'm sure if we were allowed microwaves, I'd only go down when I need to eat something nutritious. Just call it a principle. One of the things I dislike in general is people who sit with me just because I look like I'm awone and need fwiends. *pouty look* Generally, I prefer being alone to being hung around with out of pity. This goes special for mealtimes when I'm looking to get in out and done. So yes, said priest finds me. And Dagas has to go all cold on him. I love how awkward he was. And no, this isn't the one with the hot accent. Heaven knows I wouldn't be unfriendly towards him.
In other dorm news, the cleaning person stopped by, so I spent my lunch break actually making my bed. Which is sad, because I usually just sleep on top of a comforter with a blanket to cover me. It's hot out, and sheets have never been my friends. But I realize that one of my sheets has a big hole in it. Which sucks, even though it doesn't matter, for the reason stated above. And yeah, you now know one of my sleeping habits. Heh heh.
Apologies to anyone who IMed me today and whom I wasn't prompt in answering. Somehow I managed to forget to sign off AIM when I went to class both times. Oops. At least I managed to talk to Wendi and Yume. ^_^ And then of course I got to see Megumi this afternoon, and Sabi and I watched Queer Eye together and made all the nice innuendo. Becuase that show is nothing without innuendo.
In the most random news, I have finally given my roomate a nickname. She shall now be renamed A.M. It's short for something FFXI related. Duh. Although it's modified, so go me!
And now I shall take mercy on your poor souls.
Over and out.
