First weekend! w00t!
Aug. 28th, 2004 01:21 amThank you to all the people who helped me out last night. Love you all! And yes, phone calls would be muchness for love.
So, my ten ton elephant of a schedule has been experienced, and boy is it heavy. 18 hours...
Japanese is a wonderful class, don't get me wrong, but it's expensive time-wise. It's because of this class that I will never have a one class day unless I end up having four class other days. And four class other days are not fun. Trust me.
Speaking of which, I spend three days a week with four hour days. I luff Thursdays now. Luff them. Two classes. Not in a row. *squee*
Japanclass. Dagas is ... well I should have practiced over the summer, but I'm going to get back into it. And yes, rumors are true. Neko boy is in my Japanclass.
Logicclass. First think I thought was that my logic teacher would sound like Ben Stein. He does, until he gets going, and then he's like an orator. AIM Proffie is from the text book. Yeah, I know that's sad. Badger badger badger mushroom mushroom. Deal. The grading system scares me. Half on the midterm, half on the final. *turns green*
Monkeyclass: Or bellclass, because the bells in the Natural History building, ouch. They hurt. It's anthro, but not the anthro that draws me. Perhaps it will be better than I think it will be, but maybe not at the same level for Linguistic or Cultural anthro.
Anthroclass: Yes, Souheast Asia class that doubles as a History course and takes care of my non-western civ, Gen ed. I chose this class because I'd heard good things from one of the students in Psych last semester, and he recommeded that I take a class with Lehman. He's old, like he knew Einstein personally type old and he's bone thin, and his hair really isn't that gray or white. And he speaks in this British Colonial accent. Very interesting. I'm tempted to tape record his voice just so people can see what I mean about British Colonial.
Litclass: Whoo... Okay, so it's not terrible, terrible, although it does seem to be a lot of work. It's medieval lit though, which I tend to like better than 18th or 19th century British lit, and the professor seems to be interesting. He goes out of his way to pass around things and to play music and stuff. So it's more than just the literature, it's also the culture. I can't believe that no one mentioned the horrific hygene when talking about what they associated the middle ages with. Black plauge comes close enough I guess.
So I have four class days three days a week, three on Tuesday, and two on Thursday. Thursdays are love.

On a random character note: Why does Lana get all the guys? I swear, the girl's got some mad flirting skills that I was apparently not aware of. Either that or she's just got the string to lead guys around on. I swear, I could learn lessons from the girl, if I were in any way, shape, or form interested in pursuing romance in real life.
I don't get it, and maybe I don't want to.
Over and out.
