University On-dits
Aug. 17th, 2004 06:23 pmI figure this is a good time to get out the pre-college type of news.
This last time at the library. I mean it. Seriously. Put down that lie detector, and no my nose is not growing. Tomorrow I will have to get my rear in gear and clean up the trash on the floor that's not going with me to my new home. Thursday is my haircut/maybe highlighted, plus shopping. Friday is for packing and getting things organized, as is Saturday.
I got my last paycheck today, so I have about 1000 to spend at college.
And if I don't luck out and have to get my books new, I'll be spending almost $400 on books this semester. Darn thee English class. I wonder if my used copy of Dante's Inferno would be good enough for them. Because nothing rocks like a book that only cost 50 cents, when it's replacing a book that might cost over 10.00. Having to reserve my money only for books makes me sad. ;_; At least my beloved Nakama has already dedicated itself to me.
Get this, I've had the ol' roommate switch pulled on me. That's not so bad I guess. She called today and while she seems very talkative and outgoing, she also believes in communication, which is a big plus when it comes to living with strangers for a full year. Also, she lives in the same area code as me, which means that I didn't have to call her back long distance. Score! But this means I have to come up with a new nickname. *cries*
Over and out.
