dagas_isa: Kanzaki Nao from Liar Game (Default)
Hana Kagari
Shizukusa Yumi

Note: I make no guarantees to the exact accuracy of this translation.

Those memories we've started to forget
The lamplight starts to light up
Like fireflies. That's what
allowing myself to love you is like.

How long will that dear,
fleeting scent singe my heart?

Trembling, trembling, the bamboo flowers dance
Please give me the thought that you want us to be together
We've chosen different roads but
Even now, my heart calls out to you

There's nothing stronger to me
than what your opinion.
I still wear my hair long, ever since that day
Because you told me you liked it

We've let ourselves forget
Holding each other tight, like we would never part

Trembling, trembling, the bamboo flowers dance
The shadows I get close to are piling up
My overflowing feeling is that when the snow melts
I will finally be able to meet you.
And then, surely,

I will start to feel and see those bamboo flowers
Oh, please tell me that I won't be alone
And the warmth that's in the palm of your hand
Is not just a dream.

Additional note: I'm not sure if bamboo flower is the correct translation for "hana kagari" I use it, because I've seen others say that. But the Kanji that compose that word are "Flower" and "Iron basket for torches" which I can synthesize and understand in Japanese, but cannot put concisely into English (the image of a flower becoming a vessel for fire and her passionate feelings).
