On someone. Just someone.
Apr. 20th, 2005 02:48 pmI try my darndest not to get upset at people. But you know, sometimes it's impossible. Although right now, I'm finding you just as funny as I find you annoying.
Every one knows me as an angst bucket. That's my life, probably. Heck, it's usually human nature to go on about the negative things. But there's a line. Self-suffering is fine and dandy. Pity parties are fun. But seeking to inflict suffering on others and ruining their good times because of some percieved grudge... No thanks. I know I'm scoring hypocrite points here, but I'll deal.
Apparently, so many things are offending you. Omigosh Starry and I are friends and play at being pseudo-lesbians. Omigosh, Starry visits online forums and RPs and joined LJ (even though she rarely posts), she is a SINNAR! Omigosh on the flutterific community info, I call her the queen of flut. Did you know that Flut is a small country in Western Europe? And somehow it's my fault for being a bad influence on her. Probably. We are friends, after all. But you seem to discount that she has a very capable mind of her own.
You're mad because I ignore you. People have the right to express their opinions. True. But the audience has the right to ignore what you say. Particularly when it's on someone's private property. Yes I consider flutteriffic to be a private forum. Yes I consider /tell in FFXI to be akin to a private conversation. If you come to my house to say things to me, like you've said, I'd be within my right to lock you out. If you call me on the telephone to harass me, I'd be within my right to hang up on you.
You're attempting to 'work things out with me'. From what I can tell, your idea of 'working things out' means giving out threats and ultimatums. "If you ever do that again consequences will be seen." "People will suffer." "I am capable of a lot that you don't know." "I will win." From what I can see you're trying to intimidate me, not trying to get through this.
Yes. You probably will win. Will it make you feel any better?
In the end, any suffering that you inflict on others is your own choice. I'll be there to support your victims, to heal them, but I'm not going to accept that what you choose to do is my fault. I'm not in New York holding any guns to your head. I'm here, being friends with people, and not caving to a stranger who has no authority over me.
Starry has been my friend for over a year now, and one of my closest friends. I've listened to a lot of your complaints about her. I've listened to your bad-mouthing of her. Heaven knows I've tried to talk to you on previous times, to try and find the common ground. It's not happening.
I won't fight you. And I encourage no one else to fight you either. So you will win. But what will you gain?
Over and out.
