Random event type of day.

I got the paper back from Junjie today for revision. Looks like I managed to express my subject matter with enough eloquence that it appeared to be a legitimate subject of academic analysis. Go me. The examples were perfect he said. Thank you Omake Goddess Akai, I couldn't have done it without you. Just as a reminder, if I ever casually mention that I'm doing Anthropology research, I'm probably spying on you to make a paper. Deal.

I suddenly feel really old. Not just that survey thing. But the fact that I got the "Blossom" reference during the brain game. And also the fact that they're showing Full House on Nick at Nite. That's just... wrong. That's where all the old shows go. Full House was like... the staple of my after schools only a few years ago.

I managed to return "About a Boy" on time despite my procrastination, although I missed out on buying my secret valentine something. Also I'm wondering what I'm going to be doing to celebrate Horace day. There really aren't that many flowers to pluck in February.

Rode out to the club today. My mentee didn't show up, so I hiked back to her place with her sister to check on her. Bringing little painted hearts with me. I got a balloon crown for my effort, which of course was worn to dinner at Newman. Because I'm too lazy to go to my room after getting back, and I didn't want to just leave it sitting there. Besides, it wouldn't be me if I didn't use the opportunity to sport some goofy head gear.

Usual crew is back again, which is good. I also managed to find a good place to get J-pop albums downloaded. Oh yeah, Love & Honesty by BoA is MINE. Got that? MINE. And yes... they had Shiina Hekiru's new single which sent me into conniptions of happiness. Like netspeak abbreviation-using type happiness. Too bad they use RAR... I need to find a good free program to decompress the files (and yes, I have a trial version of WinRAR right now).
