Since my life is mostly FFX-2 now, I should probably go into a rant about that.
I'm not liking it as much as I did FFX. *shrugs* I'm sure if I were like the rest of the fans and had to wait some time between them, I would like it a lot more, but for now it's sort of bland, and I'm not liking the characterization as much as I did in the original. Rikku and Yuna are much more fake than they were in FFX. I mean they were people in FFX, not pop star secret agents like they are in the sequel.
People's voices are bothering me a bit as well. It sounds like everyone is just trying to imitate themselves. Especially the characters who had accents like O'aka and Rin.
Paine rocks. I think the whole thing that makes her so cool is that she does not put up with the corniness that Rikku and Yuna put her through. She's reserved, she has attitude, and yet it's not just some exaggerated act.
Brother... umm.... he makes me laugh? Seriously, I have no clue what they did with this punk heavy metal club boi. He's just ridiculous. The Gullwings are mostly silly.
The new boys. Nooj needs a serious makeover. Someone needs to tell him that just because he's missing a couple of limbs doesn't mean that he must throw good taste out the window. As leader of the Youth League, his image is important. Get a haircut, also get a decent outfit. Wait... that sounded really shallow. Baralai is fine, although I don't like that they introduced him with the normal graphics. He just looked really flat. Gippal rocks. Gippal freaking rocks. ^_^ I can't tell you exactly what I love about him, but he has style. I also like his reaction when he first sees Paine.
So yes, nothing much going on. I keep thinking there must be something better that I can be doing for the short time that I'm home. And then I think nah....
Over and out.
