Talent Show: Status -- Canceled. We J-pop freaks, especially us seniors are outraged about this. Hear me? Outraged! This was supposed to be the only time in four years where us J-pop fans could strut our stuff. Me-chan Yume-chan and I were going to be singing three different J-pop songs by three different artists in order to inundate our school one last time with J-pop. I know that this has no sort of relevance in the whole big scheme of things . . . but still.

Right now, I'm on an In Nomine kick. In Nomine being an RPG involving Angels, Demons, and Mortals. It's based a lot on the Catholic Mythology but it takes it to a whole different level. For example there are seven main choirs of angels, and only the Mercurians are what we would consider to be typical angels. And there are seven bands of Demons, most of which correspond to a choir of angel. The makers are a little uptight about keeping everything canon, but I would love to create a fanfic. Something about an outcast angel and a renegade demon, two celestials, literally passing each other on the ladder. In Nomine Official Website

As a tribute to my telenovela, I'm actually going to do something I've never really done before: obsess about it, and ramble. I just want to prove the damage that bad soap operas can do to one's brain. Think of this as a demonstration.

Yesterday's episode: Rosaura (think "Mary Sue" type heroine) finds out that her current husband was the person in charge of forcing her to give birth to her ex-husband/true love's baby in the attic of their own home and that he knew that the baby that she was taking care of to keep her and her 'brother' away from their abusive mother was Rosaura's baby. So she goes home and tells her current husband (whom she absolutely loathes) that she hates him more than ever and she wants them out of her house (technically his). And he says that he's doing it out of love, to which she responds that people in love don't do those types of things. So her husband waits until after she leaves, gives a whole bunch of clues to her family that he's about to commit suicide. The end of the episode actually concludes with him jumping off a building and landing *splat* on the pavement before. Meanwhile, Rosaura goes over to her "true love's" house and telling him that she'll never forgive him for not telling her right away when he found out who is daughter was. Not that the fact that he was in the hospital meant anything to her.

That's just one of the convoluted plotlines. It's the worst, yes, but it's also the most convoluted.

Over and out.
