Funny how writing changes for year to year. Recently, I lost all computer copies of IDT 9/13 except for a single hard copy, and in order to continue posting, I have to retype it, hence reread it. Junior year, I wrote it and many things have happened in the course of the year or so between then and now, Axis, FFN, the AMSA, English and World Lit, and a number of things that have just left their mark on my writing skills. I've typed out thefirst section and it amazed me how much I wanted to change the stylistic elements. It wasn't bad per say, just a little less refined, and I didn't change it because just having one chapter with my 'new' skills would have been too different from the rest of the story for me to justify fixing it. So, it remains as is, a pathetic tribute to my former writing style.

On a change of subject, have you ever walked into a room, taken a look at something and realized that you are doomed. Today I walked into the calculus classroom with the most horrific thing written on the blackboard. "AP Quiz For Credit" Eek! So we sit down, get the multiple choice part of the AP exam to do solo. I get less than half of the problems done, much less right. So, I shall accept whatever grade I have and do it gracefully. Or what counts for gracefully

And staying with academics, government proved to be interesting, a discussion on free speech. My opinion: Most speech is protected, especially those opinions that are not popular. As I finally said after the issue of flag burning got up and everyone protested the burning of a national symbol. You have the right to say what you want however you want to say it, but realize that you do not have a constitutional right not to be considered stupid and you do not have the constitutional right to be listened to. And the rest of the world, we have the right to disagree and express our opinions And to all those Mary Sue authors, it's applies to you too as much as it does to the KKK or flag burners.

How's that for controversy?

Over and out.
