My parents have actually been pretty respectful as to my blogging privacy (my mom even says she has a strict "no-journal-reading" policy, ever since a blogspot debacle about six or seven years ago (she found a blog I wrote, passed it on to a friend of hers, who I was working for at the time, because she thought some post was amusing) and was just kind of awkward. Plus, she assumes I say bunches of rotten things about her behind her back (which uh...is totally untrue).
Facebook is just more about keeping real life identity in real life and all my fandomy stuff and thinky thoughts some place where it won't bleed into a place that's hardly "safe."
