Just a little bit of an update:

First, I saw this on fanficrants and I immediately though of my favorite latin scholar kmegumi2: Harry Potter in latin.

Second, regarding the teacher of my AIS 199 class: You are cool, and the material is interesting, however you are sorely mistaken if you think that I can, in good conscience, recommend your class to people to whom this class would put at 17-18 hours. Point one: Not only is it a pure elective course, it's also, believe it or not, a 199 class, which you pointed out people are only allowed to take two of total in one year. Point two: Much about this class is stress inducing. Having an assignment responsible for 10% of someone's grade due the first day of class just to show that this is a 'serious course' really bars me from recommending this to already homework loaded students. Point three: There is a lack of organization around this course which has made me seriously consider dropping the class altogether, something which I have never felt the need to do at any other time in my university career. If this improves over the rest of the semester, I will recommend it to someone looking for an elective course, or when the AIS department gets the basic classes together, so that it's a 103 course and not a 199 course. However, for the reasons above, I can't pimp out your class now, not even for a free $9.00 + shipping book.

Good luck with that class -_-; If it's not required, don't be afraid to drop, ne? There are probably much better things you can be doing with your time than stressing over a class with an evil prof of doom.
