Dream a Dream
Jul. 31st, 2004 03:18 pmIn real life, Foltos has been on vaycay, so Dagas has been taking advantage of that to slack off after her vaycay. Nice how these things all work.
I finished FFVIII and started Xenosaga. OMIG... teh hate!!! I'm not particularly fond of Xenosaga, even choosing to race chocobos FFX-style over playing it last night. Though I discovered poker. Poker is cool. Yeah yeah, I'm my mother's child. Deal.
There's some random disorganized symptoms I've been having lately. The most consistent ones seem to be coughing and a pain while breathing deep or yawning. It's been in my right side, the left-side of my chest, and now in the center and right side of my chest. I've also had some minor headaces/dizziness when changing altitudes (i.e. sitting or standing up) and there's been a couple of times when I've just gotten cold and shivery when I didn't think it should be. I don't think it's the shakes though. They weren't that severe. So Dagas is taking a bit of a rest (and going to the library)
In other events:
One of those weird fegging dreams.
All right, I know this somehow starts at college, and there's sleep deprivation going on. We've just had guests over, and I believe I was still back in my old house at Golden Oaks in my old room, with a combination of my old and new furniture. The room is mostly clean, although my old comforter is still on my bed with my current bedsheets, although my current comforter/dust ruffle are on the floor, and that's a decorating no-no. And there are some people living in my room at the time, so I take the comforter and go make a little nest on the carpet so I can sleep, when someone tells me that I can go sleep on floor in this little office thing that my cousin Paige works in, because Paige isn't there yet and it's quieter, only she is there when I go in, that and the fact that it's a tile floor makes me go back to my own room and deal with the noise. I remember that the room is mostly clean, and that I'm intending to clean it because while I have no problem with a messy room (and my RL room reflects this truth), an almost-clean-but-not-quite room bothers me.
Skip scenes, I'm now at the mall with my boyfriend and we're looking around at clothing. A completely not-racist detail is that my boyfriend is black and apparently a basketball player or interested in basketball, and I'm thinking of getting him a gift related to that, although I'm not sure if he'd like it. We go into this one store that mainly had women's clothing but also happens to have basketball shoes, and while he goes and tries on a pair, I go to the 'reception area', or in other words, I just go shopping. I pick out a dress that's just barely my size, and the largest size on the rack, as well as a shirt, and I'm almost about to pick up a pretty flower umbrella when I remember that I really came for a belt (and actually, that makes a lot of sense, although I'm not going to bore you with why). So I go to the belt section and realize that there's only two or three belts, which is a really bad selection. I walk up to the counter and wait my turn (and run into my boyfriend who may or may not be owning a pair of basketball shoes), to ask where the belts are, and essentially, while they can custom make belts for me, pretty much those I found where the only pre-made ones there were.
I shrug, and wonder if I should try on what I have. Note that this has the realistic encounter of Dagas commenting that she's fat (and she is) and her boyfriend/friends/sales people telling her that she should try on the dress anyway. I go to this one place that I think is a dressing room but is really a teacher's lounge of sort and decided that I'm not changing in there. Fast forward and I'm in the real dressing room, but as I open a couple of doors I realize that all the stalls are full (as well as remembering that locked doors usually mean that someone is in there after a few times opening the door on someone). Everyone is somewhat absorbed in herself until this little brother comes of the dressing room with his sister and says that they're done and that they'll give up the room. The sister disagrees. The brother makes a comment about him being the patient one, and they square off in some sort of epic sibling battle that ends with them both battered but with the brother in the best condition. And he says, "See, I told you I was the patient one." WTH!!! That was random.
Skip scenes again, now I'm back in my high-school gym, and it's a graduation type ceremony with out all the folding chairs, caps and gowns. And some of the girls from the dressing room walk by with their SO's, and I notice that one is wearing an engagement ring, and then my SO comes up and that's the end of the story, although somehow upon waking I seem to remember Megumi hooking up with Kagetsu, the villian from Shamanic Princess, even though he's so totally not her type. He's got bad hair, and he doesn't even get beat up.
And I think for detailing these dreams for you, I deserve to get a lucid dream someday. *sigh*
Over and out.
