Odakyo ramblings

I've seen eps three and four now, and it's still the same level of adorable crack the first two were. I don't know if it's good per say, but it's a comedy and I'm laughing so that's good enough. The leads play off each other nicely. It's also a show that's very focused on female characters in major roles. Usually the "mysteries" feature female characters prominently, and then there's Kaoru, the cousin/manager, the host of Odakyo's show, and Taniguchi's partner "S" vs. Odakyo's brother Kenta and the guys in black suits who serve as Odakyo's guards and stage hands. It's kind of hilarious and adorable.

On the other hand, I definitely don't ship Odakyo/Taniguchi as a pairing, and something would have to change drastically before that ship wouldn't outright squick me. Plus, I might also be biased because the only interest that Odakyo's shown in that department so far has been towards women.

Just sayin'

And more so, unless something also changes drastically, I want Odakyo to escape from this whole TV psychic thing or at least get to the point where she's enough in control that she doesn't have to run away just to have a little free time.
