And the rest of you will probably not get why this is so amusing.
So, Anthro Easy Mode section (as opposed to the 421, which will now be called Hard Mode) is taught by a Korean man, Jin-Heon. He's easy going, and kind of a dork, as evidenced by the fact that he was playing pop music by some Korean singer before class started. Now this is the only song on his computer.
Of course, I'm another kind of a dork, because I recognize the singer, and well, I know her Japanese work. So when BoA's "Every Heart" starts playing (English Version, btw), I somehow cannot stop myself from shouting out "BoA," which automatically causes him to aggro me like weapons, pots, bombs and elementals to magic, and him wanting to know how I knew of BoA and that song. Apparently, I am the only person he's ever taught who recognized the song/artist.
And then of course there's the Jin-Heon name thing. See, because he's Korean, he's found that people have a hard time pronouncing his name. So he tells people to call him "Jineon" or just "Jin". I suppressed my laughter, although I immediately thought of someone.
In other news, there's something so fulfilling about holding a Japanese class in the mathematics building. It's seeing the look of utter confusion on the face of young men taking advanced calculus when Nishiguchi-sensei asks them "O-namae wa? O-namae wa," and it takes them two or three seconds and a student in the class to let them know that this is Advanced Japanese, not Advanced Calculus.
Also, on a total wootage note: I managed to spend less than $130 on books this semester.
Over and out.
