Alright!

Sorry, needed some opener. *is not a cheerleader*

My next entry, maybe from guess where? Where I have limitless internet. I realized that next Sunday, I'll be moving back into the dorms, with Sochi. And because I need to get such chores out of the way such as haircuts and packing, and getting my room in a state of clean before I go, I will neither be working or (if I know better) going much to the library, as much as I love you guys. After Sunday, you'll have Dagas overload.

Thursday was my last day of work. ^_^ I'm completely thrilled about that. Although I have to tell Foltos that, maybe tomorrow. Or Tuesday, because I know that he'll be at his shop on Tuesday and I can get the haircut then. And, the really really bad, but not pervy bad part of my mind is telling me that the library is within a couple of blocks of the "Tonsorial Parlor." And I'm actually well known enough there that people would notice a haircut.

Friday and Saturday, mom and I held the garage sale, which was about a year in the making. What does this mean? Why this means that the color sticker code that mom made up to make things easier on her and have less writing is completely forgotten by the both of us. I guess that's why we made the legend.

The busy times were spent saying hello to people, keeping Maggie quiet, and charging money for people to haul away our junk. I'm telling you guys, you missed out on all the Dagas memoribilia. The baby clothes from 84-85, including the outfit used for the puppy-quilt photo op and maybe a jacket used in one of the nekkid bootay shots. No, I'm not posting them. Deal. The toys that my mother kept in the crawlspace at the old house but never let me play with. My pre J-pop CDs. My bucket 'o stuff that includes of all things, Cheesasaurus Rex, or whatever the Kraft Macaroni and Cheese mascot was called.

Also, mom made many social connections, particularly with a guy who ran estate sales and sold antiques and stuff. So he searched through our house (built in 1918 give or take) and found some secret drawers in the woodwork. Nothing valuable and remarkable. Some stuff from the last family who owned the house in one drawer, nothing from the other. Behind the drawer though... a death certificate from the 1870s or later, a farming pamphlet thing from 1927, an advertisement for a book club from the 1920s or so, old postcards, and all of them appallingly dirty.

Oh yes, and I did beat my mom in a game of Texas hold 'em with fake money. Tried to bluff me she did, with upwards of $1500 (in Payday money), but I called her and took it all with a pair of fours. *smirk* She seems to think that was stupid. *shrugs* Won the game for me. Why yes, we are fans of Celebrity Poker Showdown. How'd you guess?

Overall, we pulled in over $250 in the two days the sale ran, and with the exception of a chair that stays in the basement, two CDs and a bouncing rock-ball for Dagas, and some random crap that Mom is taking to work or giving to friends, everything was either sold or carted off to Goodwill. Not bad. Of that amount I got a little over $100. And most of the time, I got to spend playing with old toys and putting together puzzles.

The VCR game of Clue is at Goodwill now, so I can't show people the incredible cheesy camp that was that game, or that tape at least. Please the butler's name was Didit, and then for this priceless line: "But the doctors made one mistake. Steel plate was MAGNETIZED!!" Guess you have to see it.

There might have been more I wanted to say, but I'm like a minute from getting kicked, so I have to go. Toodles.

Over and out.
