dagas_isa: Kanzaki Nao from Liar Game (Default)
*sigh* Who ever goes to garage sales? Honestly, I can't think of the last time I've been to a garage sale that had something good to sell. Of course we're talking about my families junk and we all know that has to be awesome. *cough*

Anyway. My mom and I have been going through the piles of toys, books, etc. in the basement, and we're pricing, trashing things, and attaching ourself to random objects. Hey, those fast food toys are worth something. As is that old bottle of hair detangler. And that game of Bazaar. And what about the Bright Builders? *grins*

My old 1960s encyclopedias were trashed. I used to spend hours sitting in my room looking through them, never mind that they were 30 or so years out of date. And my children's collection of stories, that was trashed because of the mold. It's not quite as nostalgic as it would have been if I were alone, but it still brought back a few memories here and there. There was this painting that hung in my bedroom at the house where we used to live. My parents made over that room while I was down visiting my Nan (my grandmother) for two weeks one summer. And then there was the puppy quilt that my mom wouldn't let me throw away. I have a baby picture of me in this red and white jumper on that quilt.

Anyway, it's about 18 years of a life condensed into a pile of junk. Strange how that works.

Over and out.
