Just a random thought. I should get paid by the cut/bite/etc. I'd probably get more that way, than just getting paid by the hour, and that's condsidering that the only skin exposed on me is the arms and hands. If I deigned to wear shorts, I could probably pay my way through college just by clearing out the woods. A dollar per cut, multiplied by the about 50 or so cuts (conservative estimate, there were about 22 on my right hand alone. Not arm, hand), perhaps multiplied by the number of days/weeks worked plus a 10 dollar bonus for any bee stings (I've been stung by a bee that looks like those in the forest, not fun) that I might incur, and I'm a rich little forest girl.

Actually, despite the cuts, it really isn't that bad. The highlight of my day for the past couple of days is watching the deer as they wander through the woods. I saw my first on Saturday and another one today. It's really peaceful out there. I can just stand somewhere and be still. There's no music, no chatter, nothing really to distract me. And other than the itches from mosquito bites there's not really anything that hurts anymore. Sometimes I think I even belong there. Surely I belong there more than I would behind the counter of a fast food chain. I don't take orders, much less ask someone if I can. ^_^
