Librariness. . .

Ickiness. It's Monday, hence I have volunteer work at 10:00, hence I have to get up early, hence I am tired. The problem is that I'm having more than a few moments of dizziness today, especially when my stubbiness has to change altitudes, as straightening the shelves requires.

Mary wasn't in today, the lady who heads the reference station. So there really wasn't anything to do other than to clean up my area of responsibility (ooh have to love those fancy titles).

*sigh* Yes, pathetic as it is, I practically live in the library. Well, consdering that it has two of my favorite things, random knowledge and the internet, I'm not all that ashamed. Too absorbed in reading or surfing to really care. The only problem is that I don't get anything productive done, such as writing, or reading. Hmmph. The people at the reference desk know me by sight, and the sign of a newbie is that they actually ask to see my library card before signing on.

Hoping here for some high pressure weather so that the dizziness may be helped.

Musicality

Friday, I bought my first English language CD in over 4 years . . . yep that sounds about right. I caved in at Barnes and Noble and bought the Evanescence CD. Can't say that I regret it, though Best Buy did end up having it for less.

My favorites are 'Everybody's Fool' and 'Whisper,' the latter being so perfect for this scene that I have in Axis, my huge piece of literary junk. Nozomi . . . yesh for those who know who she is, and what has to happen to her. Actually, there's the almost exact scene that the last stanza would perfectly fit into.

Fallen angels at my feet
Whispered voices at my ears
Death before my eyes
Lying next to me I fear
She beckons me shall I give in
Upon my end shall I begin
Forsaking all I've fallen for I rise to meet my end

English music wise, it reminds me somewhat of Tori Amos. J-pop wise, there's no real equivalent. Maybe a blend of Onitsuka Chihiro and Cocco with a very different voice.

Speaking of J-pop, I got music coming, and I know for the fact that the first shipment is in Illinois as of Saturday. So EDA is probably Tue. if I'm lucky, Wed. if I'm not.

Despite my better logic telling me that this is futile, I'm going to transfer most of the more significant entries from my previous blog to this site. So if some entries don't make sense, now you know why.
