Top Five Places I'd Go.
From
muusu Part 2: Top Five Places I'd Go
1. Tree Hotel, Sweden

So, it's a treehouse that's pretty much invisible. Invisible Tree House sounds like a cat macro, but really, that whole thing looks like unconstrained awesome and fun, and therefore, I have to go there.
2. Denver, Colorado

There a big blue bear sculpture. So, duh. Actually, when I was planning on somewhere to go for my solo-trip last year, Denver was one of the cities I seriously considered. As a bonus, it's also the home of the Flobots. (Dork)
3. Children's Museum of Indianapolis, Indianapolis, Indiana

Continuing on our themes of large animal sculptures interacting with architecture. We have this. Bonus points: Museum!
4. Barcelona, Spain

Actually, I just want to go to Spain in general. But Gaudí is awesome, and I'd love to see his stuff. I could spend so much time there. Basically, if I got that unexpected windfall, at least part of it would be spent on traveling around Spain.
5. Suffolk, England

Again, not because there's so much awesomeness here, but because I have a feeling that this place is as much of a "key to my ancestry" as I might expect to be able to find. But then, I'd probably have to spend time going to Stonehenge and/or London as well.
(The building is unrelated, but the mood is right and the area is closeish to the actual city of origin)
Runner up: I've actually seen this, so I don't think it counts so much.
Cloud Gate, Chicago, Illinois

Also, known as the bean. Because it looks it like a bean. I don't quite remember it being so dramatically lit, but it was still quite striking.
And if I could go back, I'd also try to have reservations at Alinea afterward. Gee, self, couldn't you have been more of a foodie when we lived in IL. Can't believe you passed that one up.

Reminder: the auction at
help_pakistan is ending in a day and a half. My fic auction is at $12 and my meta auction is at $7. So you're still looking at bargain prices here. =P
