School is my nemesis.
Oh hell yes it is. I think all those good days are catching up to me.
So firstly, I had an assignment for anthropology, for document analysis. I choose the UIUC Gaming Documents page ('Gaming Documents' being fancy talk for 'Video Game Collection') to examine. Turns out someone else had chosen the same one. So I had to spend time actually talking about this half-assed project I put on the internet.
Also, the IRB sucks. We were supposed to have interviews next week, sort of a "How did you end up at the University" but apparently something with the blanket guidelines they have for all the E.O.T.U courses is wrong, and they don't have all the bureaucratic things worked out. Note: We cannot actually question prisoners or pregnant or lactating women. Which leads to one of those lines: "For example, my wife is lactating, and I'm sure she wouldn't mind if I told you that." Followed up later in the presentation by, "But say...if I were interesting in the leisure activities of lactating women on the quad, I would have to get special consent to interview my wife."
Yeah.
Anyway, I have cards to send out. Dad's birthday is Friday, and my Grandpa just had surgery. So I went to campus early today to pick out some cards. Oh yeah, and print my story for Creative Writing and get it sent off to the English Department so I dont' have to pay upwards of $20.00 to get them all copied. 11 pages x 18 people is not fun.
Anyway, I have class at 11:00 and 1:00, and Muu has the day off, so I have to get things done while I'm at campus. Also said English department requires that things be ready and submitted at least 24 hours in advance. So the class starts at 12:30, so I think fine, I can go by after the RLST class, download the document, do some last minute editing, and print it out and get it in 24 hours in advance. And I did. Only, they have their lunch hour between 12:00 and 1:00. And I cannot skip stats. And retrospectively I could not have for those little pop quizzes (also bad, bad day to forget my calculator). So I end up getting it in at 2:00 p.m. and I'm just hoping that they're not going to be snobs about it only being 22 hours in advance.
So umm... yeah. School. Yey.
Over and out.
